The annual Sad Summer Music Festival welcomes headliner Taking Back Sunday for the first time! The Long Island natives comprising John Nolan, Adam Lazzara, Mark O'Connell, and Shaun Cooper, have released seven highly-acclaimed albums, including their breakthrough sophomore effort, Where You Want To Be. The 2004 album entered the Billboard 200, peaking at number 3. Moreover, since the album was released via an independent record label, it topped the Independent albums chart. The album spawned the hits “A Decade Under the Influence” and “This Photograph is Proof I Know You,” which received wide critical acclaim.
Taking Back Sunday will be joined by the festival’s returning performer, The Maine. The quintet from Arizona entered the rock music scene with their debut album, Can’t Stop Won’t Stop. Upon its release, the album notably entered four Billboard charts, including the Billboard 200. In 2021, the band dropped their latest album, XOXO: From Love and Anxiety in Real Time, entering three Billboard charts.
